Reformer and Mat Pilates Studio in Innaloo

REFORMER PILATES
Our signature Reformer class. We guide you through a series of smooth, slow controlled movements designed to work on the correct form. We will flow from move to move, and keep layering until we find those deep Pilates burns.
All levels are welcome.
Our Balaformer style class. Incorporating our Bala ankle weights, power rings and resistance bands. Fast paced, dynamic reformer movements to build extra strength. Designed to escalate the heart rate, tone the muscles and bring on the sweat.
Please consult us prior to attending this class if you are pregnant or have any injuries or concerns.
The perfect pairing.
The first 30 minutes we will challenge ourselves with powerful movements from our Fierce class, think dynamic movements with added weights.
We then will flow into a blissful 15 minutes of deep belly, meditative breathing combined with stretches using the reformer, enabling us to find that extra length and flexibility through our muscles.
You will leave feeling strong, centred, and grounded.
Please consult us prior to attending this class if you are pregnant or have any injuries or concerns.
Heated Yoga
In all aspects of life there is balance, both light and dark, yin and yang.
Vin + Yin seamlessly blends the Yang elements of a energised vinyasa practice with the soothing restorative benefits of Yin yoga. Move through cleansing creative flows to engage and bring warmth to the body before easing into passive postures to reset the mind. By switching your body from “fight-or-flight” mode to “rest-and-digest,” you promote balance in the nervous system and create a powerful sense of wellness from within.
Our Vin + Yin classes are heated between 22-24 degrees. Suitable for all levels.
Please consult us prior to attending these classes if you have any injuries or concerns.
Our beautiful Yin class. Our slowest form of yoga and deepest form of stretch. A complement to athletes or those with rigidity that prevents mobility and range of movement. Yin allows us to nurture and replenish our nervous system, slow down our heart rate and soften the mind.
Our Yin classes are heated between 22-24 degrees. Suitable for all levels.
Please consult us prior to attending these classes if you have any injuries or concerns.
Mat Pilates & Hot Mat Pilates
A series of seamlessly flowing Pilates movements that will work on building deep inner core strength, stabilising muscles and endurance. This is our hottest class (temperature and spicy movements) so you are guaranteed to find deep burns, muscle shakes and sweat dripping.
Our Flow class is set at a temperature of 30-34 degrees.
Please consult us prior to attending this class if you have any injuries or concerns. This class is not suitable for pregnant clients due to the heat.
A formatted class of 3 different blocks. In each block we work through 2 rounds of 6 strong Pilates movements in timed sequences of 45 seconds on, 15 seconds off. These are still low impact movements, however we incorporate dumbbells and resistance bands into the exercise to build on our strength and endurance.
In Format the room is heated to 25-27 degrees. All levels welcome.
Please consult us prior to attending this class if you are pregnant, have any injuries or concerns.
Hot Yoga
In Vinyasa, we flow through sequences, building on strength and endurance. The rhythm of this class is dynamic and meditative, aiming to inspire you to get sweaty, extend your boundaries and flow through each movement.
Our Vinyasa class is heated to an ambient temperature of 30-34 degrees. Not suitable for pregnant clients.
Please consult us prior to attending this class if you have any injuries or concerns.

We recommend looking for and parking near Zambrero's as we are down the alleyway to the left of them.
While some individuals report feeling better postured and stronger within weeks, visible changes might take a few months of regular and consistent practice, especially in muscle definition.
What we do see in the early stages is people glowing after their sessions and ready to book in for the next one!
Practising Pilates 2-3 times a week has shown noticeable changes in strength, flexibility, and body tone.
The beauty of Pilates, however, lies in its adaptability to individual needs. For many enthusiasts, 1-2 sessions per week are enough to build strength and ability, supporting other activities. Some people prefer 6-7 days a week, treating it more like an everyday necessity! However, everyone's body is unique, and factors such as one's starting fitness level, diet, overall lifestyle, and commitment to other physical activities can influence the rate of visible results.
If you're unsure, reach out. We're more than happy to discuss the best program for you.
It is. Pilates is primarily known for muscle toning and strengthening but can be valuable in a weight loss journey when combined with other crucial elements.
Incorporating cardio exercises, adhering to a balanced diet, and possibly even integrating other strength training exercises can boost your metabolic rate and aid in weight loss.
While Pilates might not burn as many calories as some high-intensity workouts, its role in building lean muscle can contribute to a more active metabolism.
If weight loss is your main priority we suggest that you combine our reformer Pilates sessions which focus on strength and balancing your body with our more fast paced heated Mat Pilates classes for that extra calorie burn.
Pilates studios like Formation prioritise offering the best experience for you over providing low-cost services.
We invest in high-quality equipment, such as Reformers and infrared heating panels, which are costly. Additionally, we work with the best instructors in the field who have undergone rigorous and specialised training to ensure they provide expert guidance.
This combination of top-tier equipment and elite instruction means that classes can be more expensive than a no-frills gym, but it also assures you receive a premium, effective, and safe workout.
What we know from experience is that things that don’t work become expensive. The gym membership that doesn’t get used is expensive, the elliptical or the reformer in the living room that sits idle is expensive.
Exciting and challenging classes with great instructors and beautiful surroundings that you can’t wait to train in aren’t expensive.
Indeed, it does! Pilates routines have a unique emphasis on the core, but they also engage other muscle groups.
Over time and with regular practice, participants can achieve a more sculpted and lean physique, enhancing muscle definition and improving overall body strength.
Pilates is adaptable and suitable for most people. However, those with certain medical conditions, recent surgeries, or specific health concerns should consult a healthcare professional before starting a new exercise routine, including Pilates.
Both offer valuable benefits. Mat Pilates uses body weight to provide resistance, making it easily accessible. Reformer Pilates, with its specialised machine, offers varied resistance levels and a more extensive exercise range. The best choice depends on your goals, preferences, and access to equipment.
Always remember that individual experiences with Pilates or any exercise regimen can differ. It's essential to stay informed, seek expert guidance, and, most importantly, listen to your body.
Alternatively, come train at Formation. We offer Reformer Pilates and Matt Pilates, so you don't need to choose one over the other. We've found they complement each other perfectly and keep your journey enjoyable.
